The Somerset County Chamber of Commerce Scholarship is awarded annually to three area students. To be eligible, students must be members of the chamber, a student at a chamber-member school, an employee of a chamber member, the child of a chamber member, or the child of an employee of a chamber member.

The Oak Cliff Chamber of Commerce’s education awards are from 2-3 p.m. Thursday, April 14, at Dallas City Hall. UNT-Dallas president Robert Mong is the keynote speaker. The South Oak Cliff Collegiate Preparatory opened on the campus during the 2016-2017 school year. South Oak Cliff High School is recognized by the University Interscholastic League as Division 4A State Champions for school years 1976-1977, 1991-1992, 2006-2007, and 2007-2008.
